You can see posts and videos people have tagged to real places, creators who are live right now, and friends who choose to share their location. Search any place, tap a landmark to see community photos, ratings and opening hours, get directions with turn-by-turn steps (drive, walk or cycle), and let the map follow you as you move. The place information is built by the community, so it gets richer the more people use it.

How do I find friends on the Map?

Turn on "Share my location" and choose who can see you — everyone, just your followers, or a hand-picked few. Friends who also share appear as dots on the map, and you can tap one to open their profile. You will also discover people through the places they tag in their posts and through their live streams shown on the Map.

Yes. Sharing your location is opt-in and off by default, and you always choose your audience. When you tag a place in a post, only the place-level location is used — the venue or area, never your exact GPS — and it is optional on every post. Only public content appears on the Map; posts from private accounts are never shown.
